Anomaly Con is very pleased to announce the opening of our discussion forums. You can use the forums to discuss ride sharing, costuming, photo shoot times, or anything else Anomaly Con or Steampunk. Don’t want another password to remember? On the registration page click one of the OpenID icons at the top and log in with your Google, Yahoo, or other OpenID provider. Just a reminder, our contact page is still the best place to get a hold of us if you would like to become a vendor, volunteer to help, or suggest a panel.

Do you know what separates a good con from an AWESOME CON? Panels. We can have a con without people like you—yes YOU—hosting panels and sharing your interest in steampunk, history, or almost anything else with the rest of the our community. BUT! We can’t have an Anomaly Con. Instead of knowledge, maybe you have a skill to share. Perhaps you have an idea for something that you’d like to see at the con. Whatever the reason, we’d love to hear your panel suggestion. Send us word via our contact form.

We’d like to announce our schedule[pdf]! We might see some minor changes between now and the convention so double check your copy of The Anomalous Times when you get to the door.
We’re putting together an awesome gaming room this year and we have an exciting addition: Living Forgotten Realms. These tables will be free to play for all attendees but they will be first come, first served as each table slot can only accommodate up to seven players. We don’t have tables confirmed for all of the slots yet but muster will be at 5:45 PM Friday; 8:15 AM, 1:00 PM and 5:45 PM Saturday; and 8:15 AM and 1:00 PM Sunday (games start 15 minutes after muster) when there are tables running. As things are coming together last minute you should be able to find information on which slots will have tables and what those tables are running at registration during the convention.
Anomaly Con’s final volunteer meeting will be 11:30, March 17th at the Castlewood branch of the Arapahoe Library District at 6739 South Uinta Street, Centennial, CO 80112. We will be in the Paul Manion meeting room. Follow the hall that goes to the left just before the second set of entry doors; our room will be at the end of that hallway. This meeting is mandatory if you have not attended any other volunteer meetings. If you have not signed up to be a volunteer and would like to, please show up at this final meeting or email us ASAP to make sure we get your name on the list. Volunteers only need to devote 15 hours to the con, including setup and take down, to get a free badge. We’d love to work with you to make sure that you can see the panels that you would like to see while also counting that time towards the 15 hour requirement.
Anomaly Con is announcing our first Art Show! The show is open to all registered attendees who contact us and let us know who you are and what sort of art you will be bringing. All entrants to the art show will be provided one panel or 1/2 of a folding table to display their art. No art can be sold outside of the dealer’s room at the convention but we encourage you to place business cards with your art so that interested buyers can contact you after the convention. Art setup before the convention and take down after the convention must be completed by the artist.
Anomaly Con is also looking for volunteers who would like to help in the art room with setup and take down and to meet some of the great artists who will be coming this year. Please contact our volunteer coordinator and let her know.
The vendor room for Anomaly Con 2012 is full‒we have unfortunately had to turn many people away. If you missed out on a vendor table this year don’t worry! We’ll be opening new vendor registration for the third Anomaly Con in April. For everyone else, we have a great lineup and an even more diverse and talented vendor room than last year!
