Welcome to AnomalyCon 2013!

Greetings Everyone! The day of the convention has finally arrived!
If you didn’t preregister, remember that you can still pick up single day or weekend passes at the con! A full weekend is only $35 for adults and $18 for children aged 6-13!

One last minute announcement…due to interesting complications with the hotel, the Grand Tea has relocated from the Ballroom to hospitality suites at room 327–it still starts at 1pm Sunday! Staff and signs will be around to direct you.

We’ll be live photoblogging during the con! Look for piles of pictures on this page, and our dusty tumblr!

PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE FINALIZED!

Programming Schedule Finalized!

Here are TWO PDF files for you to plan your weekend. We apologize for the ugliness, the real program will be much more attractive.
Naturally the program is subject to emergency change in case of uncontrollable events. Any changes will be posted at the information and registration desks at the convention.
We hope to have a Guidebook version available for you to download and peruse the week before the con.

Many Announcements!

Greetings! Many public service announcements!

First of all, dear fans, let it be known that the schedule for our programming is very nearly complete. As soon as we’ve run it by all our wonderful guests this year, we’ll get it posted so you can begin planning your stay.

There are still rooms available at the Doubletree for only $80/night–make sure you book up at the link under “Location” at the top of our website.

Unfortunately, due to health concerns (and a stolen band gear problem), BB Blackdog and Professor Elemental are both currently unable to travel to the States. They both send their regrets. We are completing negotiations with a suitable replacement, and the tea dueling will still go on! We’ll officially announce our amazing guest shortly. We hope you will still support BB Blackdog in their campaign to replace their audio equipment.

In addition, we are running 9.5 tracks of programming this year. You asked for more writing workshops, and we’re giving them to you. Bring your laptops, your notepads, your writing utensils, even your cameras–you’re in for a weekend of creative instruction and wonderment!

Tons of New Guests Announced!

Phase Two of our Guest Announcements is In Action!

We are PLEASED to announce (in no particular order):
Trae Dorn
SJ Chambers
Professor Elemental
BB Blackdog
Pandora Celtica
White Collar Sideshow
Carrie Vaughn
David Boop

AND as soon as I get follow up images from them, we have about 7 more authors to announce! Stay tuned!

Visit the guests page for more details on each guest!

THANK YOU ALL WHO ATTENDED ANOMALYCON 2012!

Hello my dear fans and wonderfully exhausted Steampunks past, present, and future!
We had a wonderful time at AnomalyCon! To see some amazing pictures (or check out what you missed), look for our Tumblr: http://anomalycon.tumblr.com/
Also, if you search AnomalyCon or Steampunk you will find bunches of great pictures taken over the weekend by our many fantastically photogenic attendees!

We have some Public Service Announcements to make!

We have some Public Service Announcements to make!
First of all–pre-registration is NOW OPEN for BOTH attendees AND vendors! We’ve already confirmed 25% of our vendor hall for next year, but at this point vendor registration is open. If you are interested in vending with us next year, contact us with your name, business name, a description of what products you carry, and website information if you have it. Please be as informative and specific as possible to help us get through those emails in a timely manner.

Second, we will be at the DOUBLETREE next year! As much as we loved the ambiance of the Tivoli, the space isn’t big enough for our growth. So we are moving to a beautiful hotel at Orchard band I25, and we got some amazing $79/night room deals! We’re also running a cool contest for those who reserve a room, check out the Location tab for more details!

Next, we are interviewing for long-term volunteer staff members to fill our expanding group and take care of aspects of the convention during the course of the year. This is a great opportunity to get more hands-on experience. Keep in mind this will require several hours of time most every week, is a volunteer position, but requires at least a one year commitment.

And, if you didn’t hear, we’ve already announced a couple of special guests for next year, including Gail Carriger and Mark Stone!

Also, we are once again bringing in our ART CONTEST! Design the AnomalyCon 2013 (Post Apocalypse) tshirt and win both a tshirt with your design on it and TWO badges to AnomalyCon 2013! Email your submissions to us by June 30, 2012 to enter. Winners will be announced by July 31st. Your submission becomes the property of AnomalyCon and Victorian Productions.

Finally, panel suggestions are OPEN! If you are interested in running panels, seeing panels, or want to throw out an idea for a guest we might not have thought of, please give us a shout!

Can’t wait to see you all at StarFest and others throughout the year!

Almost Time! Mystery and Mayhem!

Dear readers and soon-to-be-attendees!

We have both good and bad news to impart.

Alas, our dear highly anticipated Mme. Veronique Chevalier has fallen under unforseen circumstances, and must decline to join us this year. She sends her utmost regrets and hopes to join us next year–if the world doesn’t end, of course.

As for the good news! We are of course investigating a deeper, even more sinister mystery than the Murder Most Foul that plagued AnomalyCon’s denizens last year–be sure to grab your investigation sheet when you join us in the door!

If you’re still in the air about coming, remember that a single day badge is only $15, the whole weekend is only $30, and the lightrail is just a hop, skip, and two heel-clicks away!
